Empowering Health Systems through Leadership, Strategy and Innnovationip/

At eSHIFT Partner Network, our strategy is built on three fundamental pillars designed to drive innovation and excellence in global digital health. These pillars guide our efforts to create sustainable, scalable solutions that improve health outcomes in Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) while aligning with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 1. Leadership and Capacity

Objective: Establishing best practices in leadership, design, and implementation for Digital Health Organizations (DHO) in LMICs.

Approach:

  • Proactive Leadership: We focus on transforming organizational mindsets from reactive to proactive, setting trends in digital health and establishing leaders. This includes fostering the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain technologies to enhance healthcare delivery.
  • Capacity Building: We invest in training and capacity-building programs to empower health professionals and policymakers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to drive digital health initiatives. This includes educating stakeholders on self-sovereign identity and national digital sovereignty to ensure data privacy and security.

2. Strategy and Blueprints

Objective: Develop clear, actionable strategies and blueprints that guide our work and position us as trendsetters in digital health.

Approach:

  • Comprehensive Blueprints: We create detailed blueprints for digital health implementation, addressing critical health challenges such as Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and health economics. Our blueprints are based on TOGAF and Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards, making them easy to implement and scalable.
  • Best Practices and Standards: We ensure our strategies align with global best practices and standards, including HL7, FHIR, and the International Patient Summary. This guarantees interoperability and consistency across digital health systems.
  • Knowledge Hubs: We establish knowledge hubs that provide essential resources, training, and support to countries, fostering a collaborative environment for digital health advancement.

3. Architecture and Infrastructure

Objective: Build and maintain robust, scalable digital health infrastructure that supports our mission and the needs of our beneficiaries.

Approach:

  • Interoperable Platforms: We develop and implement reference ICT platforms that ensure interoperability and sustainability, enabling seamless integration of digital health solutions. These platforms leverage AI, IoT, and blockchain to enhance functionality and security.
  • Sustainable Business Models: We focus on creating viable business models for digital public goods and digital health systems implementations in LMICs. This includes identifying revenue-generating opportunities that ensure long-term sustainability and financial viability.
  • Digital Public Goods: Our infrastructure supports the development and deployment of digital public goods, which are essential for building resilient health systems and achieving broader SDG objectives beyond SDG 3.
