Steven Uggowitzer

FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

   

Steven Uggowitzer is an engineer specializing in information management and ICT for public health and international development. For the past eighteen years Steven has developed innovative approaches to adapt technology to the needs of governmental and international institutions. He has held senior technology positions in WHO, Health Metrics Network (HMN) and NGOs, supporting ICT work in data management for global pandemic response, including with GOARN, for the SARS and 2005 Tsunami responses. He brings extensive HIS, digital health and IT operational experience in LMIC contexts including leading the deployment of DHIS2 in Sierra Leone, Sudan and Eritrea, Indonesia, Myanmar. Steve is a member of the eSHIFT Board of Directors.


David J. Hagan

FOUNDER
   

David Hagan has over thirty years of Information Systems experience, twenty of them directly related to Health. He was Principal Advisor to WHO for Information and Knowledge Management and Principal Advisor for Health Intelligence to the NHS (with Northgate IS). For the last 12 years, he has delivered HIS Technical Assistance and Management Consulting engagements for WHO and other international partners. David has extensive field experience in Africa (Congo, Ethiopia, Sudan, Senegal, Kenya, Malawi, Lesotho, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe), and is a qualified project manager (PRINCE2). David is a member of the eSHIFT Board of Directors.

John Farrow

HEALTH INFORMATICS SPECIALIST & SECRETARY

   

John Farrow is a public health and health information systems specialist with expertise in system design and project management. John has a BSc in Health Information Science from the University of Victoria and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has worked to support the implementation of information systems at the national and provincial levels in Canada. He also has experience in supporting implementation of national and local information systems in both Asia and Africa, and most recently has been working on public health surveillance projects with the eSHIFT Partner Network. John is a member of the eSHIFT Board of Directors.


Anima Gupta Aggarwal

FOUNDER & TREASURER

   

Anima Gupta Aggarwal is a philanthropist, entrepreneur and active leader in multiple charities and NGOs. She has twenty-five years of experience working across the corporate and not-for-profit sectors in the UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands and India. She sits on the Executive Board of Pardada Pardadi Educational Society UK, an NGO supporting systemic change and empowerment of rural girls in India which educates over 3000 girls in Uttar Pradesh. She is also a founding member and on the Executive Board of eSHIFT Partner Network, a Swiss-based not-for-profit leader in national digital health architecture across emerging markets. Anima has previously been employed by both The World Health Organization and UNAIDS (Switzerland) in senior roles.

Dr Sally Stansfield

ADVISOR
   

Dr. Sally Stansfield is a physician epidemiologist who is a specialist in policy, information systems and metrics for evaluation of health systems, programs and institutions. Dr Stansfield has worked extensively in Africa, Asia, Central and South America and the Middle East. She was the founding director of the Health Metrics Network (HMN) initiative, and previously worked for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Management Sciences for Health (MSH) in Cambodia, the International Development Research Centre in Ottawa, the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She is a member of the eSHIFT Partner Network Executive Board, and is recently retired as Director, Social Impact Consulting Practice, Deloitte Consulting. Sally is a member of the eSHIFT Board of Directors.
